In 2003, from the picturesque countryside of Tasmania, Melannie Burgess Pook launched the Tasmanian inspired boutique body care collection Melle Beauty.

After returning from working abroad in the United Kingdom beauty industry, Melle’s experience with leading international brands inspired her to create a spa wellness collection featuring superior Australian ingredients. Melannie explains;

“My years of experience within beauty and wellness created a passion to design a Spa Boutique Body Care Collection featuring exquisite ingredients sourced primarily from the pristine environment of Tasmania complemented by 100% pure and natural plant and flower extracts”.

Available in retail and custom in-house forms, Melle Beauty products are now stocked across leading Tourism outlets around the state including: Saffire, Freycinet Lodge, Cradle Mountain Chateau, Strahan Village, Henry Jones Art Hotel, Barnbougle Spa Lost Farm.

In 2008 the products of the Melle Beauty collection and Melle’s experience were embraced at an Industry level through Melle’s involvement with South West Tafe Training facility in Warrnambool, Vic. Providing Tafe with training protocol and products used in training and development Melle advises members of staff on spa trends, spa techniques and etiquette.

In 2010 Melannie diversified her offering further by introducing a consultancy and advisory sector to the Melle Beauty portfolio. Offering setup and management solutions to new and developed spas, Melle has worked on the new Spa development at Barnbougle Lost Farm.

In addition to her industry experience in the spa and wellness sector, Melannie is a former member of the board for Australasian Spa Association (2006-2009) where she acted as Director of Tourism and Events. Committed to ascertaining the best experience for her clients, Melle is passionate and educated within the Spa tourism sector within Australasia.
